  1. Yeah when my SUV got flooded geico sent and adjuster out and before they did anything the said because your SUV was flooded the condition automatically falls into the average condition. I was like wtf my truck was in excellent condition! Then that mofo drew a line way below the flooded line in order to make it seems like it had minor flood damages when they put it through IAA bunch of scumbags

  2. A colleague of mine had a BMW 520 diesel driven into a flood by an employee. Took the dealer's mechanic two months to get it going again. They had to build a whole new wiring harness at the factory to put in it. And it was only 40 centimeters of fresh rainwater. Cabin stayed dry, the door seals held.

  3. Someone may have looked at the car previously and took the air cleaner out to check for water breach but was too lazy to put it back sometimes a new filter like that tells a different story if it says it was a run and drive I would start it see how it does myself. Hydrolocked motors can be saved!! Not all but some

  4. Iaai are the biggest scammers, They have private body shop around states and what they do they try put salvage car together and re-auction them again for extra money and without telling or notifying the pple the main issue or the main damages there is a lot of scam iaai have been doing , I hope Federal go after them

  5. The engine was idlein
On the milage pic so maybe there a problem with the radio and stuff rather than the engine and stuff

  6. Thanks for the video content! Excuse me for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you heard about – Tarbbatigan Judicious Shopping Tip (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for learning how to check used car history without the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate finally got astronomical results with it.

  7. Some cars have intake tube for fresh air much lower that your Audi. In fact on some newer bmw there is air ducts on the bottom of bumper . It’s not that easy to hydrolock the engine and reason for that – air filter will get saturated with water and will not let any air true – car will just stall . So if you ever run true puddle and your car died please to not attemp to start it without opening the air box . On the other hand if you fly true some water with red line and WOT and your car make nice bang before it stalls – then most likely you suck to much water and a lot got pass the air filter , then it got in to your cylinders and there since water can not compress in any way – the piston rod got bend . On this particular car I would issue there was mechanical damage and some one just decide to get rid of the car . So they lightly flooded it . It’s a bmw they have bunch of electrical/mechanical problems without being flooded lol . Again that filter could be there because shop the car got towed to open up air box and checked condition of filter . There is no guaranty this car not a fraud . But if you can get to yard and look for it self there would be no guess work here .

  8. What if the car was moving fast through water ( then the water hitting in front would have reached above water level of surrounding )and ffuucckkeedd up through air intake.

  9. I have seen where someone drives the car into standing water say a foot deep. It sucks water into the air intake and suck down the motor. They leave the vehicle in the low water and it’s towed and totaled by the insurance company as flood

  10. I dont know. When I see this. I think someone tried to drive their car through 6 – 8 inches of water. The engine stopped suddenly and the owner had it towed to a shop. They pulled the air cleaner to check if it sucked water. In this case, the filter tells me a different story. It tells me it did not suck water. If there was silt on the filter, or if it was falling apart at this point, that would be different. I have bought flood vehicles from Copart and not running. So would I buy this one or the Benz? Absolutely not!! I bought trucks and SUV's. A LR discovery II that had rust half way up the speaker grill. In this case, I assume one of the 1 million computers got wet perhaps the transmission? The car not runs in limp mode and that is why it is being auctioned and listed as mechanical as the secondary damage. But that is my 2 cents

  11. The water line could be legit where it's marked, except the car might have been at 35 degrees nose down into a body of water. Draw a line straight from the water line to the filter and that would give you an idea.

  12. How does one mark a water line on a car outside of doing it afterword? Some kind of submersible pen that insurance companies just carry around with them?

  13. Lmao they wiped the water line off the windshield and rearview mirror….i once looked at a truck that flooded and the guy told me the water only wnt to the bottom of the doors but he forgot to wipe down the back of the rearview mirror lol clown

  14. A water damage car is probably the worst risk unless you are looking strictly a mechanical part that water/salt water isn't going to destroy quickly.

  15. Now hypotheticallt what if the car say went down a boat ramp or something with an incline that car could have submerged to those to points… The air filter and"WL" mark depending on the slope

  16. maybe the nose of the car was all that was in the water. as one commentor said, look inside the doors. you can also look inside the fender wells. had a good friend that bought a beautiful used truck from a dealer. after the 3rd brain replacement, they finally told him the truth. truck had been ran off into a pond. mud was still at the top inside of the dash. rather than fight a lawsuit, they gave him a really good deal on a new truck.

  17. I've been paying atten. to Copart lately and in several flood-damaged AMG's the idiot bidders were bidding it up to near retail price just because there's no dents!

    I couldn't believe it!
