  1. What does it mean that the wheel hub is pushed inside towards the engine with negative camber? It happened after I hit a curb while turning and wheel is minimally damaged just the outside no dent. Please I need help.

  3. Hey Eric, I just replaced my front struts with KYB quick struts (rears too). Used a torque wrench to spec on lower bolts and tower bolts, yet I have clunking noise something from both sides! What can I do to fix this? Adjust center bolt or what? HELP! this is a 2002 Camry.

After installing quite a few shocks and researching the shit out of it I have found Monroe is the best bet for aftermarket replacement unless you pay more for KYB or even more expensive shock.. *I have made the mistake of buying cheap Chinese shocks from ebay (Leacree) and they felt much worse than the previous heavily worn ones except they had a little better dampening on large bumps because new.

  6. Hey Eric, I noticed when you pushed that damnper in, that the rod came back out.  What pushed the rod back out?

  7. The fluid can wear out as it ages and cause non optimal performance from the struts or shocks. Also forgot to mention that loss of contact with the road also causes the tire to cup and wear out exessively.

  8. On lady friend had a 1998 toyota corrrola where the drivers side rear strut jammed up solid. I drove it around the block and when ever it hit a bump the car jumped around wildly. It went rite to brakes + for new struts.

  10. I needed struts last year around this time. Didn't have the money so the shop decided to fix the other more important safety issues. At the time I agreed. Now I see why. Everything in this video. Longer braking distance, bumps in turns. Scary stuff. Get your struts done folks. If you have an increased amount of brake dust on your front hubcaps or notice your vehicle lurching forward, get em changed!

  11. While still a paid ad, it was much better then the fuel additive one Eric did a little while ago.  At least this one is providing usable & useful information to the viewer. However, is it just me, or does Eric’s voice go up an octave or so when he’s saying something scripted compared to when he’s talking off the cuff?  His voice is significantly higher at the very beginning of the video (like 0:22 to 0:30 for example) when he’s talking about leakage on the shock compared to when he’s playing at the bench (2:10 to 2:20).  Not a big deal, I just thought it was funny.  Good video either way.

  13. One my old shop teachers use to replace the seals in old struts we replaced and add a pressure fitting at the bottom essentially creating an adjustable strut! Adjusting the pressure of the liquid inside adjusted the strut resistance! I always though he was pretty cool for doing it.

  14. Great video, Eric.  You might also have addressed worn springs, as they can cause problems, too, such as alignment problems which will cause alignment problems resulting in uneven tire wear and reduce the driver's ability to maintain control of the vehicle.
