This video is the conclusion of the TKO600 transmission install.
Just as a recap, I decided to go with a TKO600 over the T-5 I was running because of how much power my engine made on the dyno. It appeared that the T-5 was not going to be able to handle the 622lbft of torque that engine put out. I’m told the TKO600 will handle this power just fine.
I also cover the installation of a steel bell housing as well as a new transmission crossmember in this series. I hope you find it entertaining and educational.

Eric, did you use a hyd clutch system? If so which one? Is it in one of the videos?
Use a good clamp and get your driveline angle then tack them on double check then weld them on
Ditto on dial in the bell housing get off set dowels next day order a couple of off set sizes there cheaper than a new trans especially if you use a roller bearing in crank end to nose shaft

Note your feet location in a Fairmont negates the need for a blow proof bell housing… And this thing turned into a massive money pit fast.
Did you use your t5 shirt throw shifter and linkage or did you need new stuff
I’m in the process of doing very close to the same build. I went nitrous with a Fitech power adder, nx Gemini twin plate, max 4 progressive with sone extra safety features… would you trade for an on3 system or keep what I have…. ?
Would honda urea grease be better than lithium for the throw out bearing i heard lithium grease drys out so i didn't use it on mine

Noticed you didn't seem to have a roller pilot bearing in the crank, but just a bushing???
Eric checking the edges of the former mount her cut off. Grinding away anything that would cut you up, and makes a joke about ensuring to get all the sharp edges now, while there with the grinder…
Awesome, somewhat, camera-man focuses on other old mount spot that Eric has decided looked good enough to not need grinding; even though he was standing right there with a grinder in his hand…
Only somewhat awesome for not also verbally pointing out that yes, you are standing right there with a grinder. So maybe turn around and ground away the super sharp edges on the other former mounting point.
I don't want to be negative but is that large transmission mounts upside down?

That looks damn sexy. I don't know if you plan to or not, but I would weld those backing plates on the transmission mounting bracket onto the "frame" when you do the final installation. Loose things like that always makes me nervous, maybe I am just being anal. I've been watching all of your "FairStang" videos (yes, FairStang, 'cause it looks like a Mustang and a Fairmont had an affair and had an illegitimate child and this is what it grew up to become, a little Ford bastard child) and I must say I am impressed and entertained by what I have seen. It's even given me a few ideas of my own on my projects. Keep up the great work and can't wait to watch the rest of the videos.
what was that device you used to create an indentation in the metal prior to drilling? Never seen that type of tool used before.
