It’s time to repaint the entire BMW i8. This car has definitely had a few accidents, and the cosmetic condition was overall very poor, so we opted to repaint the entire car in BMW’s individual Twilight Purple Paint. We saved a lot of money DIYing the job and you can see what a DIY garage paint job looks like for yourself.

Paint is nice, but not perfect – there is a rough edge between purple and black, and some defects are visible. Also, painting in such conditions can't be perfect, dust from painting one part, seats on another freshly painted parts. It is not a big problem when you paint all car at once, but here paint on one part may dry a little, and then is "dusted" with paint from another part. This can be repaired by buffing the surfaces, but won't be a perfect finish.

If i have to nitpick… I do see some panel gaps that are offline there Sam. The hood is a bit crooked. The paint is awesome!

Sam why buff this, the thing looks fine, also its generally not a good idea to put tape on fresh clear or fresh anything for that matter, granted I dont think this is the kinda tape that eats the clear, but the type that they use on packages does FYI like just stuff a towel in there or a rubber matt,
and going forward I would probably recommend keeping a binder with all the paint codes and types you've used for each car, as with your project list
