  1. 7 hydraulic pumps to operate a soft top? Yeesh. I thought the Germans and French were bad with their Rube Goldberg systems.

I saw a F360 coupe in this color yesterday. In person that blue is pretty sharp.

  2. OMG Sam just go manual…. not worth the money and time… that roof is so light and easy to put up and down.. you won't recoup the money you are going to invest

  3. I’d go manual top right away. How often will you drive it, take the top down, and how long does it really take to put down?

  4. There really isn't that much of an advantage between electric vs hydraulic in this application. I think the real problem is the complexity of the system and the fact that it has sat for as long as it has. It shouldn't take 7 actuators, several of which that need to be synchronized with each other. That's too complex.

  5. Ditch the hydraulic pumps and do a manual conversion of it's possible. Simple is better, cheaper and more reliable. Or get a hard top. It makes the car flex less and feel more solid and have better handling.

  6. Buying a salvage Ferrari is the best way not only to let them know you have a very small "male appendage" but to also say "I have a light wallet strapped for cash so you're going to have to pay on the first date"…. Lmao 😂 😂😂

  7. Manual tops are so much easier when they're done right. I've had great ones in an MG Midget and a few Alfa Spiders. Not like an MGB where you're pulling the stupid thing apart, including separating the frame. Anyways, just unclipping up front and throwing it back is far superior in my opinion. Then sell off all the hydraulic components.

  8. a priori: do not own a high end convertible w/o a garage. w/ a garage, you keep the top down all the time & only drive it on nice days. if it rains while on the road, put the top up. leave it that way until it's time to drive on a nice day.

  9. I believe Car Ninja/Johnny converted the top on his 360 to manual (or maybe I’m confusing that with Hoovie’s 355…) so maybe that’s an option.

  10. If it were me, I'd turn it into a manual top, but I'm not a YouTuber, so drag this repair out for as many vids as possible 👍

  11. Remove ALL of them, get them ALL repaired. Then that way, you know that your hydraulic system for the roof is all good. Or go manual.
