I got a lot of few suggestions on how to take care of the flood issue on the Money Pit Jetta. Let’s take the road less traveled…

  1. I think that if you run the AC on recirc for many hours with the doors closed and windows up will eventually de-humidify the interior completely. Or maybe better renting heat lamps.

  2. dude, i'm not a mecchanic, but i think in this cases, is better to dissassemble everything, check it, and use solid/liquid vaccum, and a steam gun

  3. I can tell you why you were stopped. It was because your items weren't in some type of bag in the cart. The associates are supposed to check people with bagless items, but the ones I know would have probably just thanked you and let you go your merry way. It all depends on the security risk at the location, I think. That one was likely a high risk, like the one I live by. The one I work at is a medium risk.

  4. Rice is the easiest tool to dry out mild moisture, and it works better if you toast it a bit to dehydrate it more so it absorbs water more.

  5. There's some poor family in some third world country watching you and just shaking their heads as you waste all that rice.

  6. Why would you do that? Rice is an extremely poor desiccant. You'd have been better off using cat liter. By the way, NEVER EVER place a water damaged electronic device in rice. You'll only make things worse.

  7. Smh should have gone on offer up, I was selling a dehumidifier for $60 around the same time this video was up lol and yes I'm in the Tampa Bay area

  8. Am I the only one surprised that someone who lives in Florida doesn't have a dehumidifier? Or do you folks down there just surrender to the moist?

  9. Not smart decision to put rice by it self
At least put it in cheap socks
When it flooded here in Houston few time during a year I had my two cars flooded
I filled cheap socks about 5pairs 10 filled with cheap cat litter absorber and left it in the car worked well

  10. Well, I wish you the best of luck. I'm about to watch the next video — the "rice results" video, if you will. I'm looking forward to see how it turned out.

I know it doesn't help now, but, what I would've done (actually I did this with a Mercedes that had a water leak) is remove all the seats, remove the carpet entirely, hang it on a clothesline in the garage, put two fans blowing on it, and let it sit for a few days in the hot (but dry) garage. In the meantime, you shop-vac and paper-towel dry the interior of the car, and fix the water leak of course. Worked like a charm on my old Benz.

  11. Dude, can't wait for you to get a lav mic because that would bring your production to the level of your content. Keep up the good work
