6. Everyone thinks the police need to read your Miranda rights to you every time you get arrested. Not the case. They only need to read them to you if you are going to be interrogated. Or if you agree to talking to them, before they proceed with questioning they need to read the rights. Hollywood is funny. It has people believing Miranda rights are always a must.

   As far as the DA using the statements she made to the hospital staff, you bet your ass they are going to.

   If this child ingested narcotics I hope they also find and lock up the drug dealer involved.

13. This hits home. I was in active addiction my son's first 3 years. I tell myself I was responsible about my drug use but being honest, this could have easily been me.

18. Absolutely they'll be able to use her statement, we had a case in danville va a few years back. Some people don't deserve kids, while there's other adults out here begging to have a child, Absolutely sad world we live In.

21. I don't believe in imprisonment for revenge, I believe in it for reform. She needs to get a sentence that will make her at least fearful of ever going back, but not so much that she's just going to waste her life's usefulness and then be released because that just creates a recipe for recidivism. Sadly, no sentence is going to bring that boy back. The question is whether we can redeem the mother (who clearly wasn't ready for motherhood.) Don't take this as me feeling sorry for her, I don't. I just hate to waste life if it can be redeemed. Only the future will tell.

24. unfortunately Joe this happens a lot more often than you would think💔I watch a news channel on YT in just about every day somebody killed a baby/child💔I just don't understand people. As a mother, there isn't anything I wouldn't do for my daughters. I would lay down my life for my girls. This is heartbreaking to hear 🙏🏼 RIP Young Prince 💜

29. I can see the prosecutor dropping the 2nd degree murder down to manslaughter 1 or 2 in exchange for a guilty plea. She lacks the mens rea for murder. She's gonna do at least 5 years but less than 15 years.
