  1. You know what I love about people with Down Syndrome is that they don't have a filter whatever emotion they are trying to convey they can convey it very well a lot better than most of us humans! When they love you can feel the love that they give out and when they achieve something that's the best smile in the world! They are truly the world's greatest gift! I have ADHD + autism I am basically a functioning autistic person that's the best way my doctors could describe it to me and my mom! In high school I had AP classes in history science and language arts! Yes I graduated with a special ed diploma but I don't think I was any different from any other child that graduated I put the work in and met the requirements of the state of Georgia to graduate in 1995 when I was told before I got in the high school and early 1991 and I wouldn't graduate on time and then I would probably be in high school until I was 21! Not only did I improve the psychologists and my counselor is wrong I proved everybody wrong!

  2. Elena's mother is really trying hard to understand and embrace her daughter. Her culture has given her a different view, but she's working to reconcile her love and she deserves MAJOR props.

  3. I've watch this show since season 1. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE each of you! Parents, your strength, wisdom, ability to push your children is amazing! Each of them have different personalities and you treat them as that. I just love this show!!! I took something from each of them and apply it to my own life. Rachel, this is my year of yes also!! Thank you!!

  4. I am unfamiliar with DS diagnosis I know there is another form of DS called Mosacic Syndrome ( Sean I believe has it ) but to all those who make comments it is an extra chromosome just deal with it

  5. And I'm sorry Sandra – he's not just like any other baby except for an extra chromosome. I know that's what you WANT to believe. But it's just plain not true. He is severely disabled. That's why you collect the massive amount of government assistance for him that you STILL collect. If Sean is just like anyone else, why does he have a full time nanny at age 25? Last time I checked I didn't get a taxpayer funded nanny for life, but I don't have Down Syndrome. Oh my gosh Sandra, does that mean that Sean isn't exactly the same as typical people? I love how she refuses to admit he's disabled, but she collects every penny of government assistance he's entitled to because he's disabled.

  6. I love Rachel's parents honesty – they are right, it is a sad thing to have a kid with Down Syndrome. Sean's mom is so deep into her delusional fantasy world to admit why that would be sad. Why would Sean's mom say she was shocked that people said they were sorry that her son was SEVERELY MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY DISABLED? Why would that shock you? Of course people would say they are sorry that happened to you. It's a horrible thing to happen to any parents. Are you so delusional that you think a child that is severely disabled is what most parents would prefer to have compared to a healthy baby?

  7. I love how these kids have grown and I love the Show and all the characters on Born This Way. Their amazing Younger Adults. I love them all. Wonderful Show.
