At this point if elderly people aren’t able to drive as they used to, they shouldn’t drive period. They’re a road hazard with their limited reaction time. Other ways of transport is getting a ride or taking public transportation. If the cause is “he used the gas instead of the brakes” then he shouldn’t be driving
