When 31-year-old real estate appraiser Mike Williams mysteriously vanishes while duck hunting in the Florida swamps in December of 2000, authorities suspect he accidentally drowned. For sixteen years Mike’s disappearance remains a mystery. The case heats up when police receive a distress call from the victim’s wife in 2016. Featuring interviews with detectives and the victim’s mother as well as rare footage of the crime scene and recorded audio confessions with the accused, the episode explores how the disappearance unfolded into a sinister plot to cash in on millions of dollars of life insurance.

  4. What’s more sad than that is the fact that he was hunting innocent ducks and taking away their lives. Imagine how they feel once they’re shot, and their body lies their lifeless and they can’t even move; bleeding out and holding on to life, shot and killed instantly when they weren’t even doing anything. Hunting animals is not a sport. It’s a cruel punishment inflicted upon animals who didn’t deserve to die. We have no right to take away their lives. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. No justification in killing another beings that includes ANIMALS!

  19. YESS ..THE SHOW AND BILL KURTIS IS BACK! mr.kurtis is 1 of my fav true crime narrators for what feels like FOREVER..the classic cold case files,american justice……add to the list the late great peter thomas from forensic files and you have my 3 fav true crime shows…
