Anna’s issues were not addressed. The passive aggressive behavior was a defensive mechanism. She was embarrassed and didn’t want to feel indebted to her family. Her daughter and sister were ashamed and overwhelmed. Her daughter also needed her mother’s assistance and found the mess. I also imagine that they didn’t want to be portrayed as “enablers” on national tv.
The book guy likely used his intellect to justify his book hoarding. They definitely didn’t address his underling issues. He definitely needs more help. I wonder if he’d be happy with Kindle Unlimited. Both individuals are very prideful.

My sister is a hoarder oh, my dad and I set up a bedroom in my parents house that has shower and I dresser for their clean clothes. My sister is overwhelmed by taking care of her husband and she is a hoarder it's very hard cuz my sister is a very loving person. But the help my niece is out this is what we had to do. My sister has now moved and she has a caregiver when she gets out of control her daughters have grown up to be wonderful people, adore my sister to pieces there's nothing I wouldn't do for her. Now that her husband has been gone for six years she's got a new boyfriend and I think that has broken a cycle
