the clutter was bad but there honestly was no reason to get rid of his ENTIRE plant collection! so sad 🙁

The makeover was to overshadow that the A&E crew tossed out most of his plants instead of just setting them back up after the clean, allergies can be overcome by evolution as long as you do use medication as a crutch.
The key word is organization. All those plants could be organized in a big room.
