Oh dear. I’m SO sorry that you didn’t enjoy your Wagyu steak. That is why I refuse to pay for any food until it’s cooked to MY specifications and flavor. I’m so sorry that happened to you. That isn’t a cheap cut at all, and I honestly think whoever cooked it wasn’t skilled. I would have asked to talk to the restaurant manager or the executive chef. No I’m not being a Karen, this is a lot of money. You want to get your money’s worth. 🙂
At this restaurant near me they sell Japanese A5 wagyu at 32 an oz.

$139 for 30oz of premium steak is not expensive. If 3 people split it, it would be about $46 per person. That's not cheap but it's better than $139 for one person.
