Question, let’s say the first guy was in fact not under the influence, which lead to his arrest and lead to the search of the car which the cop found meth, would the whole case me thrown out due to him not legally being arrested which would throw out the search? Curious

If they spend half the money on treatment for these addicts caught with personal use amounts that they spend on putting them through the court system and incarceration, we may have much less of a drug epidemic on our hands. Not saying it would work for everyone (an addict won’t stop most times until they are ready), but it seems like the resources could be better allocated towards help than towards punishment. Most of the crimes they commit are related to their addiction anyway…as long as it’s nothing serious, at least try a little carrot. Because the stick doesn’t seem to be working.

We have two young troopers in our community that I see regular one told me he can't wait to stop me. I just simply told him he better be ready I do not break the law and I am allowed to carry a weapon. He is friends with our local dope head.
The state trooper was in the wrong to start with. He did ask an incriminating question of the start before he arrested the guy..
