44. Basically the guy is answering the question “do you consent to a search?” Which he is trying to reply “no, I do not” (consent)

    But the police officer is framing the question in a way that is confusing for someone who speaks English as a second language.

    Police should use the correct wording “do you consent to a search”

    Not this “do you mind” stuff. Which can be interpreted loosely and not in the same definitive way that the “consent” does.
