  4. The fact that they would not release the car because he did not have a US issued license is illegal. If you have an internationally recognized license, you are fine. Not to mention, she said 51 states. Ignorant leadership

  5. Complete BS. An Isreali licence is 100% valid in the US. You do NOT need an American licence to either drive OR register a car in the US. American police are sadly completely ignorant of the law.

  7. This one I don't get it, he is a tourist, why not rent a car? The rental would have explain that weird law that invalidates other countries certification.
    I would Not drive in the usa

That Eliran (Israeli guy who's kinda handsome) must have the patience of a saint: first he went to traffic court and the judge there said his Israeli license was OK but now Angie the police officer @ PPA was saying they didn't recognize foreign licenses, saying it had to be from one of the "51" states (in 2008 when this was filmed there were only 50 states; now they are talking about possibly making DC and/or Puerto Rico a state). It does seem to be somewhat of a runaround he's experiencing; although I would be suspicious of someone approached outside to act as a designated driver to drive the vehicle home, am also suspecting a hidden agenda of prejudice against Israelis. What he should have possibly done after all this was settled – and he doesn't seem like the type of person who would – gone to the Israeli consulate to see if a grievance could be filed against PPA for not recognizing his Israeli license when the traffic court judge OKed it.

  11. I felt bad for this guy, seemed like a nice friendly guy. If he was my friend, he would make me laugh alot. But do gotta say, some employees are rude with attitude with power..lol. I get it's a difficult job, I wouldn't do it.

    Edit: Technically there are 51 State Dept. of motor vehicles. D.C. issues their own, i wonder if Puerto rica does something simlar.

  21. Actually 50 States but for some odd reason people don't include Hawaii & Alaska because they are not attached to the Main land. 🤦‍♂️🤔🙄 Virginia was the first in 1607. Hawaii in 1820. America is only 244 years old though. Sept 9th 1776 is when they changed the name. Formally known as the United Colony. Independence Day from Britain. Although today America is far worse than Britain ever was on taxation. You are taxed 4 times before a single dollar touches your fingertips.🙄😳

  22. Why hasn’t this show helped get the parking authority reformed , i.e. better communication between the parking authority and the police/court system, better computers and sensitivity training bc some of those guys at the lot are ruthless for no reason

    There are 50 states in US. I think they put that police woman at PPA out of pity. She doesn't know the US geography nor is she familiar with laws of the land.
    Foreigners can drive for up to a year on license from their home country. It's all clearly spelled out in Pennsylvania DMV website.
