Fort Knox has become a gimmick – it's empty! The Fed robbed that stash many years ago as soon as they got the chance. That's why they don't let anyone see inside the main vault. They showed a documentary crew one single pallet of gold bars back in the 1990s just to calm the people saying it was empty and ended up causing a worse backlash because they wouldn't open the main vault.
