Poteau Police officer Jody Thompson responded to a 911 call about a disturbance and came upon one of the worst child abuse cases he’d ever seen. Jody made it his mission to give the 8-year old boy a better home, adopting him, and later, his baby sister.

  14. Its too bad children's voices don't matter everywhere. In Wisconsin no one listens or cares. Children are left with abusive parents and the protective parents go to jail.

Love the story and I love this man and I love that little boy and I love their whole family and it’s so funny look at them side-by-side because he looks like his son he was meant to be put in that man’s arms in for that man go there that day and find him and see him even though he was off duty it’s like God told him to go there because that’s meant to be his baby boy and I’m so happy that he’s safe now with you God bless you God bless you I think you’re my favorite police Officer
