DIY Race Car Door-Pulls

Since we removed the door panels and the car door handles I needed a way to open the doors on the endurance car. So in this video I show you how to install DIY door pulls with some steel cable so you can open the door and get out of the race car quickly!

  1. I have watched you work on vehicles since the driftstang days. I love your content and can't wait for the next vid and the driftstang supercharger video ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Awesome video as always Chris. I always appreciate these kind of videos and has helped me learn so much about cars and give me confidence! I know you are super busy and these videos take a while to make but I was wondering if you were going to make a tutorial on adding forced induction to your engine (supercharger or turbo). I remember you saying a few years ago that you were going to supercharge the driftstang but covid happened.

  3. Great video Chris! I have a quick question, after the wires were crimped would it be possible to solder the ends of the wires together to be extra safe? Thanks, keep up the good work!

  4. just make your keychain stronger and fireproof, don't be cheap

in all seriousness, can you just use a tow strap, its strong and some of them are fireproof

  5. I love watching Chrisfix and especially love reading the comments because when the haters watch to hate on his videos they do not realize but they are supporting him

Edit: Btw Chris when is the next lemon ๐Ÿ‹ endurance race

  6. It doesnโ€™t matter where you post it. Your like the Field of Dreams of the You Tube/Instagram world. โ€œIf you film it we will watchโ€. Your the best.

  7. When's the next endurance race and what's going on with some of your other cars?

Also, how about that supercar you blurred out a few videos ago… Sounded like a Ferrari or something…

    Keep up the excellent work!

  8. Cool seeing you talk about being prepared for fire.
I would suggest adding a unique pull easily identifiable by feel, just in case the interior is suddenly filled with smoke. I prefer a sphere on the cable. It doesn't really get snagged on anything, there's no other spheres around to get it confused with, and even through gloves, you can tell when you've found the right shape in an emergency.

Drill holes in a hard "squash ball", feed the cable through and continue exactly as described here in your vid.

  9. Love the videos man. Been a viewer since 2015 and I've seen your channel grow insanely fast. Keep up the spectacular work. Stay safe ๐Ÿ˜€

  10. Great video, ๐Ÿ˜ƒ I like quick videos on simple things as shown on this video. Thanks for the video Chris. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
