  1. what is the fuckery goes on on 9:30? when you push with any of 5 pliers i have it just slips away and flies through the whole room. You need 3 hands to do it. God I hate brake drums, what I'm an idiot that I haven't checked what i've been buying. In mitsubishi eclipse 3g, this spring is under those nuts, it barely possible to get in there, when pushing it in, there's no way to push it in center, you'll end up pushing just one side. probably the most fucked up car i've met in my life.

  2. Great work Chris fix .I'm from Montreal I see a lot of your fantastic video well done .Only one thing at what kilometers should drum brakes be done at on a Toyota Corolla le year old 2014and should I buy genuine Toyota parts for the drum brakes and if I wanted to change them in the back to disc brakes Is that a wise option .

  3. After 10 plus years, this video still helps being I have a neighbor who's van has drum brakes. Was always a little nervous trying to change them but watching this makes it easy…thanks! Also got to say, over the years you have perked up a lot which makes viewing videos exciting…keep up the work!

  4. So the end of the video where he puts the drum on and says it's properly adjusted is absolutely wrong those brakes are way too high and all you will do is heat glaze and walk those drums out in the heartbeat, the proper adjustment is to back the star adjuster out until you can easily slide on the drum once the drum is on that's where you do your adjustment your adjustment should be where the wheel is able to turn freely but yet you can hear it ever so slightly touching the drum this will help the brakes break into the drum properly without getting heated up. Chris you're all right but you ain't that good my man. This advice comes from a 35-year-old Master mechanic who owns his own restoration shop and when it comes to brakes I am extremely anal and I do it right the first time. So the only thing I seen wrong with your video was the adjustment for the brakes at the end and not putting any type of grease on your star adjuster threads before installing or on the contact points on the backing plate otherwise it was a great video

  5. CHRISFIX DOES SOME REALLY GOOD VIDEOS BUT NEVER EVER LEAVE THOSE CONTACT POINTS WITHOUT ANY GREASE AND ALWAYS USE PERMATEX HIGH TEMPERATURE BRAKE CERAMIC GREASE. IT IS LESS LIKELY TO COLLECT DIRT AND LAST FOREVER BUT THEY SHOULD NEVER BE LEFT THERE BECAUSE THEY WILL FORM MORE RUST AND CREATE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR BRAKES BACKING OFF THE DRUMS. I CAN'T STRESS HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS

  6. waiting for a sunny day to do my back brakes ,thanks for the detailed video ,(i'am going to stop feeding the fat cats ) going to do it myself , thanks again Chris ///////////////////////////////////////////////////

  7. I'm looking to get rear drum and shoes Do you guys recommend Advanced Auto Parts Weareaver or Duralast Autozone if you had to pick between the two? They're both about the same price..

  8. It's always a good idea to buy the spring kit even if you think you don't need it. You don't know how many times I've had a spring shoot off into space. I always find that missing spring after I'm done. LOL

  9. Don't think everyone would have new replacement parts for the brake change so i think should of just used the old ones so no one would be confused, am from the Caribbean and theu do not give you all those new replacement brake parts… Ur videos needs to be more generalized because u have people from all over the world watching ur channel.

  10. Great video! Thanks for taking the time to explain and demonstrate each step. Really took the guesswork out of what looked like a complex process!
