  1. I have changed pads before but when I have drum brakes and you had to bleed them. Do you not do that when replacing pads. Great video!!

  2. I started to follow you because you not only give clear instructions but you provide the items I need to get the job done. Thank you so much for this.

  3. Yeah I think mine are good .but will soon enough . But pads looks more thicker towards the outer part .. Though I've never done one with ABS . Any different ? 2016 Ford Focus SE

  4. Hello, I bought copper anti seize from watching your other video on brakes for the mustang but I see you are using another anti seize in this video. Can anyone help on which anti seize to use or if both copper and non copper is good? Thanks

  5. Dear all mechanics, please stop touching brake pads and brake rotors with dirty hands or dirty gloves. Every time I get my brakes done, i then have to do it myself to get rid of the awful and embarrassing brake squeal. Chris thank you for the great content as always.

  6. Hey Chris, my mom's 2007 highlander v6 has needed a new timing belt for 4 years but she can't afford to pay $1300 to get it replaced. I don't much experience working on cars, but would it be okay if I did it myself?

  7. Hi Chris! I am not a mechanic but learn a lot from your videos. Question: once the brake pad need to change, is it also necessary to change brake rotor?

  8. Man I’ve followed ChrisFix for a long time. I forgot how different his videos were back then. In my head in this video, I insert ChrisFix “Perfect” or “From this… to this”.

  9. Thanks man. Not too wordy, you give demonstrations and you explain relevant information. You make this work not seem hard at all.

Thank you for the thorough, visual, and helpful video. I'm. Learning a lot and I know this will help me.

  10. Have a guy who charges me $50 for doing brake service not including the parts, so it’s worth it to me to not get my hands dirty lol great tutorial

  11. So for parts we need:
Front and Rear Pads and Rotors
    Anti-Seize Lubricant
    Brake Cleaner
Silicone Paste (not sure what this is, is this the actual name?)
    Am I missing anything?
Do you recommend a torque set – (eg 98, 20 torque) as opposed to just tightening manually – what is the danger if tightened too much?
Thanks for this video, really well done and easy to follow, I'll be doing my brakes this summer so I'll be using this as the go-to reference very soon.

  12. Good video as always, but i need to address, that 8:45 "thing that is sticking out" is supposed to go into the hole in wear indicator 9:48. They are basically return springs for the brake pads.

  13. Hi Chris long time fan .. I did a brake job on a 2003 acura back brakes . One bolt couldn't come off on the brake calipers . Any tips on how I can get it off
