How to Restore your Brake Lights PERMANENTLY

Tail Light Restoration using Clear Coat. This video will show you how to clean and restore your taillights so they will never turn yellow or hazy again! You have seen videos on restoring headlights with bug spray, toothpaste, baking soda, and the kits you buy in the store, but all of these methods are temporary and eventually the haze and oxidation will come back.
My method will first make the brake light clear by wet sanding and then put a UV coat on it to seal it in.

Clear coat I used: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KZ6LYMM/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00KZ6LYMM&linkCode=as2&tag=chri0e2-20&linkId=Z3U77RN3DHFZ2PXB

  1. Did this to my 2001 ranger!! Except I can’t figure out how to turn on my cargo lights and the brake light won’t work, but it looks really good!

  2. Chrisfix: wakes up In the morning, goes outside, see’s bird poop on the hood of his truck..

The same day: hey guys Chris fix here….😂😂
He always has something new for us to learn… love the videos👏👏🙏🙏👍👍

  3. Hi Chis, nice vídeo. My truck is a 1997 Mazda B2300, and I have a issue with cab back light, the brake light is working but the cargo lights don't turn on. I already remplace the bulbs for new ones, but nothing. What I can do?

  4. At 9:26 you can see the finish is not smooth and glassy. ~ Not even close. ~ It is orange peel.
Either spray more in a coat or keep coating, with sanding in between if necessary, to get the gloss finish glassy like the tail light lens. Okay I see at 11:26 he addresses the orange peel. You do not have to get orange peel spray painting.

  5. Chris, great video. I noticed some orange peel on the surface. Would a final wet sand with 3000 remove the orange peel??

  6. everything is a go but instead of clear coating it is better to polish with a wax using polisher it will look more shiny no waiting no worry of spraying badly.
