  1. My local Advanced Auto Parts told me that they are not allow or supposed to test my battery. I don't think they test batteries belongs to European cars where the battery is under the trunk.

  2. The CCA rating is only really taken into consideration for turning the starter motor. The alternator supplies the vehicle with voltage once its running.

Also, a lot of high end cars will have a second battery to run the auxiliary systems on the car.

  3. A great video done right, all proper procedures explained well. There are too many useless videos on YouTube and some that are very dangerous if people follow them. Yours cover all the bases

  4. Try to replace a battery on a Dodge Journey. You literally have to jack up the car and take the driver side front wheel off, remove those pain in the ass plastic clips. Then you have to mash your hands into a small space ,all to remove the smallest damn battery. Dodge engineers are idiots.

  5. My Mom's has loved driving Buick Le Sabres and is on her 3rd one now, but those things suck because the battery is located under the Backseat of the car. She also tends to have a habit of leaving the key on and letting the battery go dead which you can imagine makes a super sucky job.

  6. Autozone just told me I had a bad battery. But recommended me not to buy it there because they were overpriced so not sure if they were telling the truth and helped or lied and didn't want to do the work😂

  7. Hi Chris Fix how are you? I love your vidoes keep up the great work. I was hoping that if you could please do a full review and detail information about Toyota Hilux 1998 5th Generation truck, that would be really helpful to me for my project car. Thank you!!!

  8. Quick one: is it bad for the car to start the engine and let it run while changing the battery. I do that so I also don’t lose all the information inside the car. I am curious if it could be harmful for something

  9. This video came in great time
Ive recently wanted to test and replace my alternator because all of the lights in and out of it flicker. Very rarely get a battery light in the dash. But I would really hate for it to be the battery because i have an 03 dodge stratus (sedan) and those cars have the battery near the wheel well inside the bumper so its a huge pain to get to. Im deff gonna try at the alternator to begin with

  10. I found a parasitic draw of 500ma at a corroded dome light door switch in the door frame (push-in type). Worked some wd40 into it and it disappeared; will eventually replace these door switches.

  11. I have a 6.9idi Diesel battery’s tested good but won’t start my truck it cranks once or twice an battery is dead but i can put a different battery in my truck an it starts without any problems bad battery’s? Just testing good for some reason?

  12. I wish he would have shown how to use the manual load tester, which he had on top of the right battery in thy ground at the beginning. It's a good tool and its infirmative. Oh well… maybe next time.

  13. I had to replace my battery recently. It was in the front driver side fender *facepalm*. I have a 2010 Dodge Avenger. It's the same as the 2008 to 2014 Chrysler 200. They're the same platform.

  14. Try a 2018 silverado 1500 that huge thing is in the most awkward spot and the battery doesn't come with a handle I had to tie a rope to it then it fell and spilled acid on my garage floor and it doesn't help that my truck is lifted
