Learn how to quickly and easily remove studs from an engine with using the two-nut trick! Studs do not have any ends for a wrench or ratchet to grab onto and using a plyers can damage the threads but this method will not damage the threads at all.

  1. It only took 10 years of watching ChrisFix videos before he showed me something I already knew how to do. Heck. I might have known this technique before he was even born.

  2. Oh come one Chris. Kinda everybody does this like that and it doesn't really matter if you damage threads because you should change old studs for new anyway.

  3. I had to use this trick but in reverse. My exhaust header studs kept backing out of the head when I was loosening the nuts (with liberal penetrating fluid) so I had to tighten most of them back down. If this happens to anyone else I highly recommend using the two nut method at the end of the stud so it doesn't spin while you're trying to remove the nut

  4. That is the same method I use. Not for engine blocks but for bolts fasteners that snapped after I removed the head.
