  1. I think it’s important to point out counterweights as a feature you should look for in a tool box. Most of us have been there, we’re usually very cognizant about closing the drawers in our box as we work, but you get distracted and end up with a few drawers open, then before you know it you go to open one more drawer and the entire box comes tumbling over. All that can be avoided with a quality counter weighted box

  2. I know this video is 7 years old but this question is still relevant to this day. What size socket set do you buy? 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2? Is the 1/4 not strong enough for the majority of car mechanical work regarding torque?

  3. With wrenches and sockets, the millimetres are easy – just buy every one . But how picky do you have to get with SAE? My gut says get everything where the bottom fraction is 16, 8, 4 and 2, but how often do you need the 32nds in between?

  4. If you ever have a stuck bolt do this: Get a PVC pipe and slide it over your wrench/ratchet, this basically converts your wrench/ratchet into a breaker bar, the PVC pipe gives you more leverage to break a bolt loose

  5. My cousin just went in to have an oil change for $70.00. I told him bring his car to me and I'll change his oil for free if he pays for oil and filter. Changing your own oil will pay for a nice tool kit.

  6. hey chris great video, is there any possible way you could link a good beginner plier and screw driver set? just as you did for the wrench and socket set, thanks.

  7. The majority of my handtools were bought by my great grandfather in the late 40s and early 50s lol and i never got to meet the man😂 they got used by him, my papaw, my dad and now i use them. I even got a folding stanley ruler/caliper with an ivory handle that my great great grandfather used in the late 1800s when he was young

  8. long needle nose pliers and an extension magnet are game changers. when something gets stuck or is hard to grab, those things will save your butt
