  10. Left school in 84. first job paid £25 a week, on that I ran a motorbike, paid my mam board and went cinema on a saturday. Summer evenings, we'd go into a field miles from anywhere with the mother of all ghetto blasters and lay on the grass listening to our music. No mobile phones, no internet, no distractions….. just us….. talking. If I could go back to relive those days, I'd go in a heartbeat.

  11. 80's music is still the best (in my opinion) i still love these music…very cool and the artist is or was all talented…

  12. Brings me back to 8 -9 years old all over again. I would often hear most of these on my transistor radio, my mom's kitchen radio in morning as I was getting ready for school. Often, my brothers and I would call the radio station and request that they play some of these songs. Of course, back then, most of these were on AM radio, way before AM became talk radio only. What a great, simpler time where people bought 45s and 33s, listened to the crackle of the stereo needle on the record as we waited for the song to start, watched American Bandstand, Soul Train, watched 3 channels on TV, and wore outfits that resembled the time. Anyone who grew up during this time knows what I mean.

  15. 70's and 80's. Some of the greatest times are gone forever. Like when the 50's were gone in our times. Now, our times are gone. What we lived, what we felt, the energy we once had, just gone.

We lived these great times. Those times when not everything used to be an insult, when it was normal to slap a child for misbehavior, when it was normal to have the patience and attitude to read… a place where the world used to teach you. Now, we have to teach the world. But also, it's time for us to grow old and go. Only memories will remain. I hope they are not forgotten.
