  11. Google Home Mini wins especially since you can get them for $29 right now. I bought two over the weekend at Best Buy for $29 each and got a $10 gift card for each on top of it.

  12. I would not say it is a clear winner. In UK Alexa is less robotic than USA English Google home is so so robotic. For sound quality Google home is way louder & slightly better sound quality.

  15. The rather important point missing here was neither is going to sound very good, but Alexa can easily be hooked up to an external speaker with a 3.5 jack, Google cannot. Also Alexa now wirelessly works with any Sonos speakers.

  25. I'm very pleased with the volume of my home mini. I play classical music at 50% volume and I can still hear it very well in the shower.

    Now if only Google would expand Google Home's capabilities to be competitive with Alexa. Alexa at launch blows GH today out of the water today.

  26. Phil…. How about a test with your TV on? In Echo has a serious problem responding to the TV when I left the voice to the stock Alexa name, I had to change it to answer to Computer. Does Google Home Mini have this issue?

  27. must admit the google home mini sounds better but i've found that the echo dot gets better once its been run in a bit (not sure if yours is boxfresh)

    ultimately though you'll not use these to play music but if you do want to do that, the echo dot has bluetooth and 3.5mm out where as the google home mini has no output at all

  30. Both of them are very close in this comparison. I just like the way alexa looks though, it have a more sturdier and industrial look to it. Google home is not bad looking at all though, but in the assistant game google kinda wins hands down, it just makes a better conversation than any other AI assistants out there kinda makes lil bit more better to live inside a speaker.

    i make tech contents in my channel, if you can spare some time please give them a try. I would appreciate it.
