  1. $200 without a contract is more like it, if it had Google play services as well it might be more appealing but without the 4 cameras its not a very smart phone…

  2. Respect to Amazon. I like and use you mostly to buy other's phones and stuff. But now you making your own phone so I can buy other's phones and stuff on your phone?

  3. $650, 720p, fire os LOL. You can install android or a launcher but only a fraction of users do that. Amazon is trolling right? I don't see how this can be successful at all. Amazon always competed by price and make it up with content purchases but $650?! Fail

  4. I think you've hit a point that most other tech reviewers on the internet missed, and that's the fact that there's going to be an SDK available to access the object recognition technology of Firefly. It's meant to be more than just another way to buy stuff on Amazon, and I don't think we can make any earnest judgment on the phone's utility until we see developers start creating apps that take advantage of object recognition. Thanks for sharing your impressions!

  5. ugh i hate gestures, nothing beats one touch than gestures. and those four cameras are gimmick! you still have to tilt the phone! wtf?

  6. I was very interested until I seen 720p resolution. Come on amazon you had me until that. What a deal breaker. I'll stick with my Note 3.

  7. Not being funny here, but Sony has already had the firefly feature
On the Sony Z series, or very similar, Great review mind.
