  5. It's pretty amazing they offer such a service, it's too bad Microsoft doesn't offer this to their customers, especially for those who aren't knowledgeable in computers. 

  6. I work at a B&N and most of the problems I get for nook are failure to charge or unable to connect to a network. Mayday will not help in these instances, so it will only covers about 20% of their customers problems. Of course, it will solve most of the problems that don't actually prevent using Mayday. I'm also wondering if Amazon Prime is required for Mayday to work.

  8. The issue with this…..Amazon Asscoaites cannot conscent to being recorded by Customers, only by Banks and such.  Sooo when you told him you were recording him, he should have ended the call xD

  9. I have to imagine that the Mayday support people are trained to expect and not react to things like porn and penises. Anyway, I thumbed this because the guy was so cool about "Hey I'm gonna put you on the internet."

  13. Just imagine the assholes bringing shit like horse porn up, and then showing it to the tech support guys, laughing their asses off.

  18. It looks cool but it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the Kindle's ability to provide an easy and intuitive experience. It's sort of like saying, "this is probably going to be really confusing for you, we're going to employ A LOT of people to help you get through this." it's cool though

    Great review. But I have a question – If you had a choice between "THE NOOK" and "THE KINDLE HDX" which would you choose????????? Now on the nook it would also be the latest and greatest model.

  32. Does Amazon record the session and data appearing on your screen? If so, could that be played back for reference? I have older uncles that would find it useful.

    Well you can thank Amazon, the new Mayday feature is pretty impressive and a bit awkward at the same time.
