  1. I'm afraid this is not the right conclusion you'd come to after having looked at non-industry funded research…having said that, the WHO themselves have said that radiofrequency electromagnetic fields are a possible carcinogen. The majority of non-industry research has concluded that there is a huge increase in disease caused by microwave (radiofrequency) radiation. This has been known for years – search the Bioinitiative Report, search the Freiburg Appeal, search on sites such as canceractive.com and wiredchild.org These show a range of research, and doctors calling for the world to wake up to this.

  2. My understanding is limited. I have used mobile devices for a least 20 years now and used to get headaches and and muscular pain in the early days before I used a blue tooth headset. As far as I am aware blue tooth is just a form of digital radio and is non-ionising. It also operates at lower frequency than wi-fi and 3/4g etc. I have read a few studies and abstracts published online that talk about high frequency signals interacting with brain activity and possibly having an adverse effect on the developing pre-frontal cortex of infants. I sometimes experience symptoms (headaches, nausea and drowsiness) in strong wi-fi signal areas (though not always) and don't use it at home (4g and physical tethering to a mobile device a distance away from me). I am not the only one who has these reactions but that's not proof that there is any long term or harmful effects, even for those who appear to react badly, like myself. Personally, I like to err on the side of caution with these things – anyway, my reaction to wi-fi can be bad enough at times to just not be able to stick around and tolerate it – go figure… and keep an eye on developing research. Lastly, in my experience, Wi-fi is much stronger in it's effects on me than my phone. I only switch on 4g when I need it and generally have wifi off. The only time I find data signals on the phone/tablet an issue is in confined spaces like cars – particularly with all windows up. Anyone else have this kind of sensitivity?

  3. The only health risk is sitting to long and that has very little effect on your life. So the only reason why scientists say this is because they are either Hippocrates or they can't operate the simplist of smartphones.

  4. Cell phones have been around since the 80s and I am yet to hear of one person who has ever died from continous use due to its radiation.

  5. Instead of saying some people believe the electricity and radiation in our cell phones is bad for us and can cause cancer, why not just say everything causes cancer these days? How often to hear that suddenly doctors have discovered what they thought was good for us actually can be the cause of cancer so it's not just cell phones, and microwaves. Staring at a TV for too long can apparently cause cancer too. We all know cigarettes and alcohol in extreme cases have a better chance of killing us then any electric device used in equal amount of time. I am no doctor or scientist but common sense shows that cell phones are not going to be the first thing to kill you, if even possible unless you are driving and talking on cell at same time. If cell phones can cause cancer due to its rediaton, I still would be more concerned about other things that could shorten my life.

  6. Brilliantly put. I am less of an expert than you on this subject. While I'm sure mobile phones are safe, it will never be 100% since losing my brother 10 years ago to a brain tumour. Probably daft but unconsciously I can't put the phone near my head.

  7. Hell doctors say too much sex is bad for our health, next will be air, doctors will then say breathing air can be harmful, that we should learn to hold our breath once and awhile, maybe drinking water will be next or nursing the young or wait we all should learn to live under a rock and not do anything till a doctor says.

  8. Before Edison's light bulb, the global average life expectancy was 30. Dying prematurely? You mean dying at the age of 50 is premature? Get the fuck outta here "scientists". You give bad names to Hawking and Einstein.
