  1. lol completely missed the phone with the longest lasting battery. The Blu Studio Max 2 is better than all of these. Fail on yall's part

  2. the guy doing the review is finally nailing important points. There are some real data and not subjective impression good job! keep it up

  3. Better late than never 😉
Phone Capacity min to charge place overall
    BlackBerry Priv – 3410 mah, 158 minutes, 6
    Galaxy Note 5 – 3000 mah, 88 minutes, 3
    LG V10 – 3000 mah, 83 minutes, 2
    Moto X Force – 3760 mah, 68 minutes, 1
    Nexus 6P – 3450 mah, 126 minutes, 5
    Xperia Z5 Premium – 3430 mah, 122 minutes, 4

The fact that X Force has largest capacity and is #1 is amazing! The rest make sense given the capacities, except for BlackBerry which is laughable vs the others

  4. Ive had my Nexus 6p for a week now, the battery life sucks.. cant get through the day without a charge. MY LG G2, yes G2, had much better battery life, AND better standby time. the 6P also heats alot, even when im not running super intensive apps. really thinking about getting a Moto X Play or Xperia Z3. Hate having to leave the 6P tho, and possibly not get Android N but man, does the battery really suck.

  5. I need help, I have a moto e1, It always had a good battery life, but instantly, one day, it dropped from 20 to 8 in 15 minutes, now, with a normal use, it goes down one percentage every minute.

Buying a new battery will fix that?

  6. You didn't mention the brightness, which is very important for battery tests. you should be using some kind of tool to make sure all the brightness levels are fairly similar then do the tests.

  7. I appreciate the work you guys put into trying to quantifying battery life between these phones, but as usual it's way too variable among users to do so. For example I have a Turbo 2, and its battery life is quite the opposite of your tests: I get crappy SOT (4.5-5hrs totally draining the battery) and awesome standby time (loses 3% overnight). These aren't bad numbers, but I feel the Turbo 2 under-performs given its huge battery.

  8. Do the same test on all these phones after 12-24 months of use and see how they all compare. Then realise that you can just replace the LG's battery with a new one and it will wipe the floor with everything else. A new battery will always beat a tired one.

Also, the 6P only had the best standby because of Marshmellow's Doze. The others will ahve that soon.

  9. A resolution toggle on android might improve battery performance. That might be a nice option for power users who favor higher run time over screen resolution.

  10. lg V10, Samsung note 5 or nexus 6p. I'm having a lot of trouble to decide which to buy. Hoping you guys would help me. I'm a hard core internet user and always play games.
