  1. Hey my suspension is stiff AF so when I'm using the phone mount I have now (for my Note 3 that uses a c clamp style) it can not record videos without a massive amount of shake. I've mounted from the dash, the windshield and various other places but I've noticed the actual clamp style seems to the biggest source of problems. How do you think the iBolt will work for me?

  2. I am a BIG fan of the ProClip system. You purchase a mount specific to your vehicle and a holder specific to your device. I use the expanding holder so it can be adjusted to hold the different phones I have.

  3. I saw my friend has a Bracketron O2 Smartphone Vent Mount. It's a magnetic mounting system. I haven't mess with his yet but it looks pretty cool. You think you can do a review on it now let me know what you think. Thanks!

  4. I had 2 problems with the first one. After about a month or so of use the suction cup literally peeled off  and the little flip out stand your phone rests on in case the arms don't hold it tight enough gets in the way of charging if your microusb port is on the bottom of your phone.

  5. I've had the iBolt for awhile and the biggest flaw really it HOW tight it holds. The problem is that the arm is weak as hell. I've had two arm replacements now and the ball end where the dock attaches has completely broken off both times. This is due to the sheer force of the grip and if you continually take the phone out with one hand (which the manufacturer encourages), it puts a lot of torque on that arm and eventually within about 3 months, the ball end breaks off. So, my advice is to use two hands if you get this dock because otherwise, you'll be continually buying new arms for it.

  6. One Problem I have with the Air Vent Car Mounts is when turning on the Heater. I change the vents direction when I have my phone there but some cars still shoot air thru there. Have to be careful, one day my phone got extremely hot because by accident someone changed the vents to where my phone was and I did not notice until I removed the phone.

  7. I've gone through multiple phone mounts over the years. They always seem to break, or they don't hold the phone well enough, or they fall off the dash 10x/week. The last one I purchased was over a year ago and it's been amazing. Honestly, I didn't realize it was an "iOttie" until I saw everyone posting about it, looked it up on amazon and saw that I purchased it last year, haha. Seriously, though. If you want something that's sturdy, that won't let your phone vibrate, and that'll allow you to mount and unmount ANY phone with one hand (I use the OnePlus One and before that I used it with my Note 2+Otterbox), go for the Ottie! Best value I have found and it won't break after a couple months of use either! Link: http://amzn.com/B007FH716W

  8. The iOttie One Touch is very similar in design to the TaoTronics mount but comes with a sticky suctions cup (for dashboards) and is very easy to remove the phone with one hand.

  9. I've used 2 iBolt Pro's with my Note 3 in an Otterbox Defender case. Each of them failed in a couple of weeks: the metal struts fractured. The app is good though. I use an iOttie now without any problems.

  10. You forgot the best car mount around by infinityapps, its magnetic and so easy to use, i been using it on my one plus one and I love it.

  11. I use one that came with my mom's Samsung Galaxy S3. I personally think it's better than the three you've shown. rubbery padding so you won't scratch your phone, firm grip, easily adjustable. It's really good.

  12. I would like a car mount with:
    – Air vent clip
    – No large back phone panel so air flow can cool my phone
    – 2 points of contact grip on the side (portrait mode)
    – 1 point of contact on the bottom usb charging dock
    – one handed placement, meaning 1 point  on the side and the charging dock have to slide out like the kenu.

This is perfection: 1 handed, gps cooling, & charging. Basically Kenu needs to make the same thing but attach a charging dock on the bottom, but connect it to the slide out arm.

  13. What i care most about with these is the suction. I have one with the suction of an 82 year old with emphysema and it always falls over.
