  1. I use it for few year now. I could sent any Video from smart device via youtube application to my HDMI TV, where this devices just connected into HDMI port.

  2. i got 2 of these Chrome cast  i loved it so much lol i went to target and got a second one your computer screen on your t v  very very cool   web sites and video   sweeeeet

  3. There is now a new extension on the google chrome store called videostream which will allow direct streaming from a video on your computer to the chromecast

  4. Josh, I was delighted to find your Chromecast "Tips and Tricks" presentation. It gave me most of the solution to my Chromecast challenge. I fixed my Poloroid tv's poor sound with Cambridge Audio speakers. However, as your video demonstrates, that doesn't help the Chromecast. Even though the video doesn't say exactly what you got, I was able to figure it out,and got my own Bytecc Audio Extractor. Now I have to figure out a way to adjust the volume. The mute works and I can turn it up with the remote, but no continuous adjustment. On or Off. Your video would be improved by including the name of product demonstrated in the video. Thanks again for starting down the path.

  5. can i stream a vide from the chrome browser on my phone to chromcast and then do other things like playing a game on my phone, or will the casting be aborted by that?

  6. I wasnt going to like nor subscribe to another channel of this genre. At least not today but when i saw that childish gambino bit at the the end i had to pull the emergency brake.

  7. @Patrick Mcglynn
Hey Patrick, I've been using realplayer for PC and real player cloud app for android. I'm not sure if most people know but for ppl like me who keep all my local media on my PC and not on my low storage space nexus, there's a way to use real player and not upload on their cloud service. You simply download both apps on your PC and mobile device, connect to the same WiFi network and access real player app on ur device, sign in to real player and it should view all content from your PC. IVE TRIED IT AND IT WORKS.

  8. If you drag and drop a video file into Google Chrome on the PC, you can then stream through Chromecast to the TV.  Though it doesn't like some file types, and MKVs don't seem to play audio.  Some files work pretty well!

  9. what format does the video have to be to cast on chromecast using realplayer…I tried to play a local file, however it said that it was unable to play video. The movie format was MP4 ???

  10. This not a Chromecast update but an update for the device that is interfacing to the Chromecast, correct?  I don't see how to update my Chromecast itself.

    Thanks

  11. Is the Realplayer local streaming any better than just casting a Chrome tab? It seems like having the phone or tablet as a "middle man" might slow down transmission. Just casting a tab that is playing a video works pretty great for me, but it does occasionally stutter or lose sync.

  12. I don't think the the phone is part of the stream, I can turn my phone completely off once I start the stream and the stream will continue.
