3. There is a Samsung package disable app in the play store that freezes the oculus software and allows you to use google cardboard apps so essentially it should work with all phones only you wont get the added tracking

4. I don't see the problem with having to use a Samsung phone…but I do see the problem when I buy a Note 4 and they release they original VR for THAT phone and the new VR doesn't work with it??? I have all the VR software on my phone and can't fit it in the VR.The Note 4 is the most mistreated Flagship phone by Samsung yet.

5. The Gear VR is really good on the Note5 and it's probably even better on the S7 phones. With a Bluetooth controller this makes a fantastic gaming platform.

10. I would love to buy this technology. BUT, for me, enought of this closed doors tech.
    Give me fast firmware updates and I'll jump on it.
    For now, even if Samsung is having a nice glimp at the future, my Note 3 is my last Samsung phone.

12. I think for good or bad Samsung is attempting to create an ecosystem to compete with Apple and that ecosystem is not open Android.
