1. I just wish they'd stop with the features no one asked for like the curved screen, high refresh rate (60hz is fine, fight me), color filter camera, and fast wireless charging (they could have slapped a normal wireless charger on their phones years ago). Also, give me back my headphone jack!

2. I owned the 3T, now Im using 7T. This is the first brand that I use repetedly. I think the experience of the phone is the true soul that the brand needs to keep and so far so good. I've red some comments about waiting a little and the phones becomes a bargain and agree. Got my 7T a week ago for just 20 euros more than my 3T and with double the storrage. So yeah they might not be that cheap at launch but they get cheaper with time like they didn't before (due to this wide spread they didn't had). And I agree that provably the OnePlus Z is the way to go if it can bring that OnePlus feel for the fracion of the price.

3. Personally I don't mind paying extra for a phone if I get extra features. The main reason why OnePlus is my favourite Android manufacturer was largely their approach to software and update support. I would gladly pay $1,400 (Canadian) for their OnePlus 8 Pro given what it offers. If they can continue to offer something great in the price ranges of the regular 8 and 7T that would be even more amazing!

5. OnePlus have abandoned the flagship killer segment. That's good news for us buyers when other manufacturers who will undercut OnePlus with their offerings. OnePlus are going the way of HTC.

7. Maybe it's not the same but the new OnePlus 8 Pro is just a super good device all around. Great software, hardware, camera, speakers, battery life, screen. It got it all and it's a tiny bit cheaper than the rest.

9. I'm watching this on a soulless OnePlus 8. Seriously I think OnePlus is very much like Xiaomi who found its niche among tech savvys and established itself upon that, and in this business you either go mainstream or go home.

11. OnePlus 7 Pro is becoming one of the worst product's I've own. I enjoyed the first 2 months after I purchased the device, then I have to get my screen replaced because one the heativse came out. Now, I'm dealing with fast battery issues. I checked everywhere where is it coming from. I also factory reset it as well. Nothing. Don't get me started how buggy Oxygen OS 10 has been… I can't wait to ditch!

18. I'm a Oneplus fan since the One. I remember the time that everybody asked me what brand that was what I was holding in my hand. That Oneplus One was the real flagship killer! Now everybody is making flagship killers. In my opinion I think they've made the right choice to become a real flagship. So I said goodbuy to my 3t and bought the 8pro. Best move I've made!

20. Well sd 865 and the 5g stuff are expensive… I have a 7t and it's really great for the 600€ I bought it when it came out(even greater for the 530 on the website now). But I wouldn't mind a plastic back with capacitive fingerprint on the back and 2 cameras just wide and ultra wide if it meant I would only pay like 400! At least try and make a lite version! Use 855+ if the 865 is very pricey, it would still be a great phone with oxygen OS and regular updates

22. I'm one of those OnePlus 5G owners, honestly I felt like this device wasn't even from OnePlus. Even though EE had no involvement in the software development, we had to complain multiple times for OnePlus to finally update the phone after 6 months, and the majority of time they just ignore that device in spite of its premium price compared to the standard 7 Pro

29. Since the price upscale is followed by upscaling the total quality,, is fine by me. Nowadays the OnePlus flagships (OP8 pro) has nothing to feel jealous about with the big boys' flagships. Of course it's not much cheaper any more, but it's up there in any aspect of comparison with the other companies.

30. People need to understand that inflation is always a factor in price. Not only is 5G forced and heavily priced, fans complained as well. You guys wanted more and you did, but at a cost. Beauty isn't cheap. But be greatful, for it has top end specs for a better price than Sammy.

31. I think a lot of the users of the old models of OnePlus were former Nexus-users. Now the people who are buying this more expensive models are former Samsung S-line and Huawei P-series users, I think. It was expected, but still a bummer for those old Nexus users. Really miss that wooden styleswap-cover btw!

32. Any company will ultimately lose its soul, as soul might not deliver the ROI you need. It’s the same thing people complain about with Apple, that now it has so many devices now. You won’t survive as a company if you don’t cater to a bigger market. You have to grow a bit, just not get too greedy and confuse things but you must grow. Look with this Co***19 thing now, much smaller companies won’t be able to come back up.

35. Had the OP2 which lasted well although software a bit raw (asking customer to go into developer mode /change a setting to fix a bug). Realised that all my needs/apps run fine on a far cheaper device (never purchase tied to carrier) so never went back to OP. Prices now too high for my needs.

36. People asked for an IP rating, wireless charging, better cameras but then get upset the price went up. Still starts at $300 less than an s20+

38. I have been using OP phones from the 5T. I got that and then finally upgraded to a 7T. I agree with the video, OP hasn't lost its soul, it has evolved into what it is, every company does that. OP is a much younger company that's all and in a short time, it has accelerated its growth by appealing to the mass nerds and geeks.

    IMO, if OP wants the spotlight again then they have to launch a true flagship on May/June then a $400-500 device on November/December. In that cycle they will secure the first launch without heat from competitors and the second launch before the holidays.

42. So glad that carriers don't touch the phones here. If I buy one from m,y carrier I am free to put in another sim whenever I want and there is no extra bloat. Well.. Maybe one single carrier puts some extra shit in but not so much anymore there either.

43. Think about that, a 7T in China start with 8/256GB with 855+ and UFS 3.0 for just 410€, 90Hz, stereo speaker and a nice notch (fck this holes). Now they rip off a switch from full screen to all curved and shit hole. RIP

    Not the 1st tier budget king back then anymore.

    As a OnePlus One, 3 and 5T user, I don't really want to buy the latest OnePlus phone anymore.
