  1. I have this phone. it's crappy. no app will work unless you have mobile data. can't use any app unless you install micro SD card, wifi do not work with pre install app and doesn't work with Google play

  2. The problem is the small on phone RAM….

    512MB

    Fills up quickly

The many downloaded Apps that do not want to transfer to the microSD card.

Without be "rooted" which leads to Bricking The Phone.

Beware of come ons to do that or instal a hacked ROM

    Bricked, again!

Android phones do not SEE anything loaded onto these card via another Android phone.

I have FIVE HTC Android phones, this is my oldest.

I build them for bad parts only phones found on eBay.

After finding my HTC myTouch 4G in our dumpster

One moving day…. in a box of books!

    Think: Pocket WiFi Computer!

"Bad ESN" and "Locked" matters not a whit, for this usage!

    Think Different!

  3. I've been searching for a way to figure out what is going on with my sd card port. I believe it is worn out, had a 2g card and my phone was acting funny thought it was a dud micro card, saying it doesn't have a card in the phone, its damage need to formant etc. so i bought a 32g card it worked for about 2 hours, this is driving me crazy been on google for 3 hours looking for a report of an issue like this. anyone here have an idea what it could be?

  4. If I replace my SD card, will I lose all my contacts? I have an Evo Shift 4G and it has very little storage. However, I have many contacts I'm afraid to lose and don't want to have to re-enter them.

  5. First you need to got to settings and then to SD and storage and then unmount the card.
If you just do what is told here, with tweezers. Lol. Un mounting is what I was looking for .
You can't believe anyone just because they own a webcam.

  6. Omg its actually way more simple then that. There is no trick, no tweezers….all u have to do is pull the lever located above the sd card (it looks like u can place ur finger upside down, which u can) and it props the card right out….u don't have to finoodle or finesse anything…

  7. I just bought a 16gb sdhc chip and wasn't too sure if it was compatible with the HTC EVO 4G. But after this video, I saw him use the same fone I have wit the same chip I just bought. Would there really be a difference if it's a sd chip or sdhc chip?

  8. Great video for two main reasons: it showed me what I needed to know about switching out the memory card, and it was the first video my EVO played all the way through without glitching. (Sprint!) Now if I could find a 32g for less than a million dollars…

  9. Thanks for the vid. Got stuck with my Evo Shift.
Hardest part was just getting my back cover off and I didn't know about the tab for the microSD card

  10. Thanks for the helpful video. Not a dealbreaker for me, but I thought when I saw micro sd on the feature list, that I would be able to swap out memory cards as easily as I would for my digital camera. I'm a bit disappointed it's not, but oh well. Still a great phone. Hopefully they'll fix that in the future.

  11. This seems like an over-dramatic report on something very trivial. Certainly HTC over-designed this chip slot. I would ask why NO phones today offer a few extra slots for additional chips,…ready for use as needed. How about some information on the maximum chip size available?

You sound like someone shot your dog. So much sighing. Really!?

I DO thank you for taking the time to create these videos. They are a real help and it would not be fair for me to post a complaint without a compliment.

  12. Subscribe…
this is an OT question to the OP.
If I replace my 8GB with 32GB what do I do next to have it working. 8GB is too small you know

  13. Cant someone tell me if the EVO will work with a 16gb microSCHC class 10 card? I ordered one a week ago for the phone when i get it.
