  1. I have read reviews saying the brightness of the display is poor. Is the ambient light sensor only the problem or the display too sucks? I don't mind manually adjusting the brightness to full, I just want that when i want the full brightness, the display gives me good brightness.

So, is there a problem with just auto-brightness, or manual brightness will suck as well?

  2. I got this phone in blue from overseas.(I'm in aus).
Must say I'm enjoying it more then my S5's I had. Has everything needed and to be honest after using it for a while it matches the S5.
Things arn't as bad as mentioned. Also read people saying has no video light. It does.

  3. Use the camera adjustment (contras and sharpness) and you will never feel disappointed. More pixel doesn't mean more clarity. The more pixel, the more time the phone needs to convert you to camera. From experience.

  4. Little harsh on the camera there in my opinion… those photos and videos didn't look poor quality to me, or any different from another flagship smartphone. Maybe not the greatest around, but we to remember that this is a cell phone, not a DSLR.

  5. God Danny do review know that many of the issue can be fix by changing the settings? The M8 does not have washed out color. Change the exposure of it is washed out.

  6. Dude I have the m8 and it takes amazing pics. You guys are crazy. You're wanting absolute perfection out of a smartphone camera. The video and pictures I produce with my m8 I can't believe its coming from a phone! If I were to show people the pics and video without them knowing where it came from all people would say is omg those look awesome like they do already. The things the m8s camera can do like highlight videos and the bokeh affect are incredible. Stop bashing this camera all these reviewers are pushing people away from a engineering work of art with this bullshit. Fine if you're going to print your pics and blow them up huge then the m8 isn't for you but who really does that with thier phones pics? Jesus.

  7. This is by far one of the biggest failures of htc. The butterfly S (previous version) used to have 3200 battery which now is reduced…

It used to have 3 buttons below screen, now replaced with on screen button and left the space below for nothing except htc logo!!

Also the butterfly S looks much better than this.

All of this to get 16 mbp camera which according to this review is exactly the same as before.

  8. HTC camera's are decent. color reproduction and image overall quality is okay. i dont know why people give it so much crap. the only weakness is zooming quality but if you dont zoom its fine. should go look at comparison pictures

  9. I'm sorry 30 seconds in and I can't watch anymore…
Red, White and Blue. 'merica. Lol It wouldn't be Taiwan, you know where HTC is based, would it?

Or perhaps the United Kingdom, France, Australia, New Zealand, Bermuda, Cambodia, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Fiji, Iceland, Laos, Liberia, Luxembourg, Nepal, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Russia, Samoa, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, or Thailand? :/

  10. Dude, I hope you're smart enough not to read the (hate) comments here. I like your review style. Keep up the good work!

  11. Actually, HTC cameras are very good, and the HTC one m8 camera is not that bad, unless you crop the photos
