  1. I have a terrible Chinese clone of the phone called "Uni Mate 8" or "MBO mate 8" which has terrible plastic, bad camera, and worse the navigation keys are pretty bad.

  2. I have been using the Mate 8 for a month now and I can say this is the worst phone I’ve ever had. Notifications don’t work after the phone goes to sleep. Look on XDA’s forums and you will find tones of treads that talk about it. I have upgraded the firmware to the latest version, I’ve also tried several Chinese firmwares and still the same.
The problem is with Doze from Android 6.0 and Huawei adding their own version of Doze making all the apps go to sleep after the screen is turned off. I have put all the apps in protected apps, turned on notifications for all the apps, always using performance power settings, disabled doze with ADB command line, some notifications do work, like calls will come in and sms, but emails don’t work and any other messaging app like WhatsApp Facebook, Line etc.. Most important calendar events don’t work,
Sure this phone has nice quality hardware and the battery life is excellent, I can go two days without a charge, but what’s the point if the phone is just an overpriced brick! I am waiting for the Galaxy Note 6 to come out, I should have waited!

  3. with regards to software its not good keyboard lags and volume control keys (software side) does not function as you like it lags .software side its not that good .nexus 6p is still a better choice as it is running stock android and has battery too .in term s of software nexus 6p is far better

  4. 2g no 4g lte on t mobile?? well pass in this one?? buyers beware ebay sellers say yes t mobile 4g lte, from video i guess not, 900 bucks to fork for no 4g lte?? i think the overseas model is not compatible to us networks?? but looks like a very nice device, if i see one in person with a nano sim from t mobile, maybe change my mind??
