Is the Nexus 5X slower than the Nexus 6P?

The Nexus 6P is fast, we know this — but how does the Nexus 5X compare? Pretty well, actually.

  1. I opened Facebook after a coldstart on my Nexus 5 in sync with the video and it outperformed both new phones. Keep in mind that mine is 2 1/2 years old and has not been refreshed since about a year.

  2. I own a 128gb graphite 6p and love it to death, but honestly the difference in speed looks negligible. I think the 5x is getting WAY too much hate. I think it's a fairly capable lower end flagship that looks plenty fast.

  3. The interesting question is, are both phones set up with encryption on? What if you turn encryption off for the N5X and see how it stacks up?

  4. can you tell me the nexus 5x battery life is good??
the nexus 5x can stay on one day??
I usually use the app like facebook Flipboard and google map with 4G

  6. what google and everybody else will see when the 6p outsells the 5X by 2 or 3 to one, is that people want bigger phones.
all the people complaining about not getting smaller phones, you can buy the 5X or buy the 6P and complain.

  7. If you're coming from a high performance device, it's worth noting the speeds of these two. No one wants to go to a slower device than what they had before.
    I'm coming from a Note4 and while I don't need the 6P's screen size, I'd want it's speedier performance.

  8. You keep saying NO (its not slower) but your entire video reveal the opposite. There is a huge GAP in performance. Are you just in Denial not seeing what we call can see?

  9. Did you have the screen locked to portrait on both? Was wondering if the new Nexii w Marshmallow can rotate home screen and app drawer to landscape.. (without 3rd party launcher)

  10. any idea what is the reason behind this slower performance?

    Snapdragon 808 or 2GB ram?
Moto X pure is running on 808, can you do a comparison?

  11. is the 5x "slow" based on this kinda half hearted test? No, however when you keep saying the 6P is not "that" much faster it kinda takes away from your point cause it was indeed "that" much faster in every instance and got progressively faster the more apps you opened by comparison. By the time you got to the game it was almost cringe worthy which you then summed up as "well only during games will you notice". I love you guys and the work you do, but I believe honesty is benifical in constructive criticism and feedback and this wasn't very good.
