   The phone I have now is the Alcatel One Touch Evolve 2013- And… it's just plain terrible, you don't even know. The Alcatel is my first phone and I've had it since October or September in 2013. (Not gonna go in detail)

   Well what I'm looking for in a phone is (The main things):
   -Good Battery life
   -Good camera
   -Good speed
   -And STAYS with the speed with the amount of time you keep the phone and the with the amount of photos and apps.
   -No lag on apps

   Some of these were on the reasons NOT to buy it, but I'm a little confused on some because since the Alcatel One Touch Evolve is a terrible phone, all this stuff will probably seem amazing. My battery life on the alcatel goes from 100% at around 6am- 0 or 3% at 4pm… And I don't even have to be on it, and when I am… it's in passing time during school just to see if I get any texts… that's it.

   And if I'm not in school, like now, in only 4 hours on it on Facebook or something-it's almost dead. It's also very slow. And the camera isn't good so I guess any phone would be an upgrade (smartphone-wise) and I was wondering what phone would be best, whether it is this one, Nexus 5, or another one you could think of?

13. @Nick G Yes but he was talking about the stock android, I'm pretty sure a lot of nexus users don't know or are too scared to root it

14. @RawSound YT Well, Android and Ios is very different, but the stock android on Nexus 5 is very simple like Ios and you will never get problem or bugs with a smartphone well supported like the nexus 5. Definitely upgrade, you will be very, very satisfied by the perfect screen size and the amazing full HD screen.

    Battery: 1 day does fine for me 😀
    Audio: Mostly have my earphones, and i have x-Mini 
    Camera: if u rly care about camera go ahead and spend 349$ on some canyon
    Software: Pure android? i love it, there is allways an option to root it :$

26. Is this still a good phone to get? I was originally going to get it when my upgrade came around earlier this year, but decided to go with the LG G2 instead. I'm thinking about switching to the Nexus 5 soon, because I have used Nexus devices before (I'm on the Nexus 7 tablet right actually, lol) and I enjoy the stock Android experience. Is this still a good phone to switch to, or should I wait for the next Nexus (if they do release one)?

32. That last point shouldn't really count, because the Nexus 5 is very simple to root and you can install whatever ROM you want.

33. It doesn't have bad audio, it has probably best audio on any phone (on any android for sure, maybe iphone is better, just maybe) and have 24/192 DAC, no hiss at all, beautiful sound. Speakers are crap tho, but who the hell actually listen to music via phone speaker? Are there such creatures on this planet?
