Quick Glance on the Samsung Galaxy S4

A quick walkthrough of Quick Glance on the GS4, with a new feature that lets you preview notifications and other info without turning on the phone. When this is enabled you can wave your hand over the screen and get the time, date, notifications, missed calls, other messages along with a battery indicator. The proximity sensor is at the top of the screen, and it only seems to work when the phone is lying still. Very occasional it’ll turn on randomly when it picks up movement, but you can turn this feature off in the air settings if you are having problems with it.

  1. i need help !!! when i try to do this, it doesnt work even when quick glance is on, does somebody know why ?

  2. ahhh… thats why… i turned off air gesture.. to save some battery time..and then wonder why the quick info didnt work..
    its good now.. yay..

ps: if u hold quick glance.. u get extra info about what u want displayed..and it says the phone needs to be flat..on a table or something.. and where the sensor is :)..

  3. Horizontal shows the selection of the picure that is displayed when holding your phone normally. The vertical selection is the part of the wallpaper that is shown when using landscape mode. You can enable landscape mode e.g. by using Apex (go to settings->screen orientation -> auto).

  4. In other preview videos I saw that the currently playing music is displayed when using the stock media player. Does anyone know if it is possible to show tracks playing on Spotify on the Quick Glance preview?

  5. Can someone tell me how to set the wallpaper on landscape mode and scrolling?
When setting the wallpaper, it shows a vertical and horizontal rectangles. I'm sure that the horizontal rectangle is there for a reason. Help please.
