  1. Most things I prefer the Roku stick. Anymore the Roku stick is 29 95 $29.95 at Kmart or Target or even on Amazon. That's been like that for the past two or three months. I don't know if I have 2nd generation but I like that Roku stick. The Chromecast has its advantages. I do have both. Although I do favor the Chromecast on things like screensavers or mirroring is easier with a Chromecast on some things. But I do like the Roku stick because Comcast has a Channel or app that you can watch live TV with. So it does have a lot of advantages like I can watch things like Al Jazeera or France 24 or even other things like News Channel Nebraska. And I like the fact that it has the Amazon Prime video support.

  2. Please tell me, it's possible stream from android app to Roku stick, directly from YouTube app for example or not?

  3. Which one is easier to type a search like in YouTube?

Seems like just using my phone w/chromecast I.E. keypad vs the Roku remote would be the way to go… Yes/No?

  4. Need to stream MKV, Flv, and m2ts files to my TV from my computer, that have ACC, AC3 or DTS audio, when the internet connection is down but my home network is still up. Roku to the rescue. Apparently, not that may people torrent here.

  5. Roku is the best hands down. Chrome cast is crap. It's only for if 15 bucks really hurts you that much. Fire devices are better too. But roku hands down is better than both. And this is coming from someone who owns a fire device and not roku. Getting a roku though!

  6. I'm considering buying a Roku stick because I have a Roku LT player from way back and a Roku Smart TV in my bedroom but the Wi-Fi Direct only work for my smart TV not for my LT player. I just want to know what device works for Wi-Fi Direct when you don't have or a little internet access?

  7. Can you stream from every website with the roku stick? My chromecast used to be like that but ever since some update from about half a year ago i can only stream from certain websites and apps.

  8. for day to day and binge watching, probably the Roku.
But, I'm thinking about a Google Home purchase, which the Chromecast will interact with.

  9. OH GREAT!!! Now I'm REALLY confused on which one I want to buy! I was all set on buying the Google Chromecast because I really like the design, HOWEVER now that I know it doesn't support Amazon Video ,which I do actively use! I'm definitely not sure now on which streamer I should get?!

  10. I had apple tv's in my Bedroom and my kids bedrooms , also on my leaving room total 3 , since I purchased Roku stick I'm in love with it , now I have one in my bedroom and one on my living room, since I kind of annoying to switch between Apple TV for Netflix or air play and to PS4 to use VUDU Amazon video etc. Roku is the perfect solution for my needs , Also the extra that allows you to private audio through the app I use my Sony Bluetooth around ear to watch movies with out disturb my wife at night is just perfect .
