Scan each finger you want to use 3 different times going in a complete 360 and getting the very tip and sides of the tip. Now no matter where i place my finger on that sensor on s8+ it unlocks instantly. even completely upside down.

i was gonna buy this..but since it dosent have fingerprint reader under screen im waiting for the note 9 wich will have it..my note 3 is gonna stay with my 1 more year.

Again with the curved screen..why? I got rid of an S7 edge because I hated it and refurbished my old Note 3. Love it.. and £15 a month data.

Adjust your grip and you can reach the finger print sensor. I don't get why every review makes big deal about it.

Samsung at it again… that 6gb of ram makes no sense because it will still reload all apps when multitasking bcuz samsung always have bad ram management… even if this phone had 10gb ram it will still reload apps in the background… and it is samsung, it will lag in 2 month of usage
I think we will be rid of the physical fingerprint scanner by next January…

PS. all you need to do to reach the fingerprint sensor when holding the phone in your right hand is use your middle finger.. I'm not trolling, it's really the most intuitive way to do it instead of trying to do splits with your index finger.. I'm surprised nobody has considered this.

hopefully apple is gonna go with a MUCH NEEDED PPI boost this year. and hopefully OLED. Apple still has better support and an easier interface that works with virtually every other piece of technology. so theres no need to get this note
Thank you for the review. I think Samsung did a good job with the fingerprint reader placement. I have the GS7edge and the front fingerprint reader is a chore to access. Using an index finger to access the rear fingerprint reader is more ergonomic when you're holding the phone

Nothing worth money to upgrade
I'm sticking with my note 4 until someone comes out with a phone that's worth buying. The upgrades are very tiny for a 1000 dollar phone.

Amazing Preview Andrew you've really up'd your game lately, perhaps a little Mr. Mobile rubbing off on you…. In a good way 👍🏾😎 oh and no I'm not saying Andrew was bad before but this one he knocked it out of the park IMO.
It's a shame no other manufacturer wants to compete with Samsung by creating a similar or better stylus experience. . The S-Pen is the main reason why I stick with the Note series, regardless of how many other phones I try out.
My only comment is that they really need to get better writers for their launch events. The presenters seem really stiff and often squib their lines.

Major disappointment, in my opinion! My first handset was a hsnd-me-down Note 3 which I used the shit out of until it finally died… Back then, the Note cried out "Power and Productivity"! Now, all I see this far is a handset with all kinds of useless features geared towards competing with the iPhone!
