  1. I am surprised to see in the comment section, how so many people prefer the G6 over the S8. I have been using Samsung phones for years now. Had the S3 then S6 edge and now S7 edge. But i think I am done with the curved displays. Simply because its just not durable. Had broken my S6 edge screen and had to pay a lot to get it fixed and now the S7 edge display broke too, even with the back case and a tempered glass on. And again its so fucking expensive to fix. Also, the worst part is there is no proper tempered glass yet for these screens and the dust particles manage to go in even with the tempered glass on. And somehow I end up changing the tempered glasses once in 2 months and I already have spent so much on it. So I am not going to get it fixed this time, Instead i think i will move to a flat screen phone and it would mostly be the G6. I don't particularly find the G6 attractive but i am sure the display would be beautiful to see in person. Hopefully its impressive enough in person. Waiting for it to be launched here in India. Had the G2 and i loved it. Hopefully, G6 will impress me too. It's hard to let go of these beautiful curved Samsung phones but for me it's too much of a headache to maintain it!!! So Goodbye Samsung.

  2. The S8 is just the flavor of the week or weak. The G6 offers more features. 8 cores really don't mean anything from my experience and from Samsung.

That screen is gonna break more easily on the S8 because of two reasons. One is how can you put a case on that screen on the S8? And the second one is would you really want to put a case on it and lose that amazing feature of the S8 screen?

The S8 weakness is it's beauty.

Not really ready for the real world.

  3. The g6 looks more sophisticated, the curved edges on the s8 looks shitty as fuck. I have an LG g5 and its pretty good compared to the s7. I don't think that I will have to switch for a long time. I can stay with this

  4. Also the S8 seems to have a better DAC and better included earphones. S8 will have better resale value as well. Wish they had dual speakers. I hate having to cup my hand over the speaker to hear something…

  5. Don't worry about the curves on the s8. I just tried it at Best buy. It feels great. I've had the s7 edge and note 7 and these are more like the note. you won't have accidental screen touches and it's such a subtle curve compared to the s7 edge. I didn't notice any screen distortion just a great in hand feel.

  6. Samsung should just make a phone. Not a pocket computer that uselessly extends onto a computer monitor that, assuming you have one, means you also already have a computer that works way better than a phone. Not a VR machine that you will use for a few weeks before letting it collect dust. Not a personal assistant that will go ignored in favor of the far superior and more universal Google Assistant. And definitely not the e-mail, browser, or skin that you'll spend your time working to replace before you can finally enjoy the phone you paid for. The S8 looks like it'll be a great phone with an amazing screen and the world's worst fingerprint sensor location. I could even deal with that sensor (and the unnecessary 40 other login options) if they would just stop killing the experience by forcing an ecosystem that no one ever asked for. Ecosystems are best left to the companies that produce the OS that graces the phone. Hardware manufacturers should stick to what they do best.

  7. s8 looks shiny but her weak edge screen and the stupid location of fingerprint scanner makes me hesitate as well as non wide angle camera and little battery capacity

  8. S8 looks so sexy but G6 is a way to go for me, why flat screen I can use a protective glass and one huge problem solved! I am the person who use phones for unless 18-24 months!

  9. Funny how all those LG fanboys are bragging about their G6 lol
Y'all are trying to hard to join Samsung's and Apple's beef.
We all know they will have better sales than the G6 and it will flop.
Again you can compare their views on YT too 🙂

  10. I love the G6 and I hope it will sell well. But in reality despite all this comments about how they are buying the g6 over s8, many people are still going to buy the s8 over the g6 :/

  11. on screen buttons and AMOLED displays aren't a good combination. I learned that with the Nexus 6. Be warned future s8 users your going to get some screen burn in.

  12. Just saying, I am feeling so great that people start appreciating LG much more than in previous years, which is rightly deserved. Thanks people, you rock!

  13. I wish these people commenting will put their money where they mouths are. they always talk about how much they prefer lg yet the sales never show it. smh.

  14. spec-wise you won't notice any difference in REAL usage, just go for the one you think looks the best and is most comfortable on a day to day basis, i think that's the black LG G6 for me.
