It should be mountable on the ceiling or on the wall, so you wouldn't make the shadow while touching the wall cause it would be displayed from the top

I can totally see this as a casual living room tool for the entire family
This is so damn cool. But in order for it to be practical it has to work without touching walls. Tabletops are ok…but swiping walls will prove to be an issue.
