the sony is made to look more realistic. the s4 brightens the colors almost to an "un-natural" look.
i've recently viewed both phones and the s4 screen is by far more vivid with much more saturated colours compared to the sony, but the sony does seem sharper with a more washed out look

Corning Gorilla glass will not endure sand/beach sand scratch so, you likely should not be taking it to the beach, since both sand and Gorilla glass have the same hardness of 7!

The Power Button will let envious onlookers know it's a Sony Experia Z ! I guess that's what is for. The girl was a good presenter, I am not sure the guys was listening to it all but who cares. The water proof feature will be a massive sell for some people, imagine going to the beach and taking your phone with you for a swim then stand an answer a call, cool eh ?

just better hardware DOES NOT NECESSARILY mean better at performance, efficiency and minute engineering are just as crucial. I own a 4S and Note 2, at smoothness and stability, no other platform is ahead of iOS
Even Nokia 3310 is more powerful than iPhone 5.
