TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS: Long name, longer battery life! ⌚⚡

One of the best Android smartwatches on the market, the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS gets an update, but is it worth the upgrade? In his latest review, Tshaka takes a look at the non-LTE version of Mobvoi’s TicWatch Pro series of smartwatches, the Ultra. The hardware tested, including new ECG monitoring without an actual ECG sensor. Tshaka also goes over the feature set and a bit of Ultra history.

Update: Mobvoi corrected an error on their previous materials. The processor is a custom Snapdragon 4100 which uses Mobvoi’s in house co-processor to handle the LCD screen and Essential Mode power. Mobvoi also notes their 4100 is running at a higher 2.0GHz clock speed than the standard Qualcomm 4100.

  1. My first time seeing q review by Tshaka, really enjoyed it! The detailed information, flow of narration, all well done! The pacing feels different from many YouTube reviewers and had me hooked. That flow of narration not really needing transitions made me notice transitions in other reviews much more, if that makes sense?

  2. Your timeline seems to be a bit off? Your phrasing to me sounds like you're saying Ultraman was inspired by Inframan, but Ultraman premiered 9 years earlier. Inframan as far as I can tell is inspired by Kamen Rider and its theme's of a man turned into a cyborg hero (Inframan released just 4 years after the original Kamen Rider), as well as some elements from the Ultra series (Ultraman franchise)

All these properties are from the "tokusatsu" genre, the Superhero sub genre in particular, which is a super fun genre! I can't say I've seen Inframan myself but it looks like a good time so I'll add it to my list

  3. you don't know how badly i want to get in your beard with a pair of scissors and cut out the grey hairs. it's all i could see while watching this video

  4. better than galaxy watch because of the baterry life…
but come on guys… after weeks of intentional misinformation even Mobvoi has admitted that it packs the standard version of CQ 4100 and NOT the plus…

  5. Good review, but small but important correction. The watch doesn't use the 4100+ chipset from Qualcomm. It uses the 4100 chipset AND a custom Mobvoi chipset.

  6. Are you sure there's an ECG? A single pad isn't enough to get an ECG reading (this is why other watches have you touch the button with your opposite finger). I don't think Mobvoi figured out how to get an electrical reading from a single pad during normal use (in the background)

  7. I have the Pro 3 and the Samsung GW4 classic 46mm and love them both. But I am a little disappointed in the new Pro 3 ultra as it does not seem like much of an upgrade and mostly software updates. They could add most if the extras on the Pro 3 with a software update. And the whole 4100 or 4100+ debacle still leaves me scratching my head…lol

  8. Gotta correct you, as this was misleading PR from mobvoi a few weeks ago. There is no 4100+ in this watch. There is a 4100 and mobvois own coprocessor. No qualcomm coprocessor in there. Doesnt really matter in the end product, as this allows for higher clock speed and the battery life doesn't seem to suffer.

  9. Good review, I have always liked the idea of a transflective display for battery life, but really wish for like a mutant offspring of this and the amazfit gtr 3 where the OS is a lot lighter to get even more battery life.

  10. I love this new product reviewer, for some reason this is only the second review of his that I've seen (the first being Galaxy Fold 3). He literally covers everything to amazing degree, very informative.

    Keep them coming.

    Red (UK).

  11. Great video, I have the original TicWatch Pro 3 GPS none LTE variant because eSIM version unavailable in my region. This Tic Pro 3 Ultra GPS I only heard about on your channel, the additions & especially with the 4100+ SoC & ECG sensors looks really good. I'm now very much into smartwatches since my first 3 years ago with the very dated Huawei OS2 2100 LTE SIM model, I've pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE Classic but still waiting for 2 months because of a supply shortage.
