one way to get around it is to use a player forces graphics acceleration…Dice Player is one
just got this tonight. Says "No update available". Samsung man says to give it a day

Why is it that no reviewer yet has pointed out that Touchwiz degrades quality of videos played back on the Samsung Galaxy Tab? It removes support for high-profile video playback.
One of the reasons I bought my Gtab in the first place was because video playback was outstanding — on par with the iPad. I'm not willing to download Touchwiz for a few features that I can obtain myself by downloading the right apps, only to have it ruin my video playback quality!
@dEViN1887 u have to go to samsungdive . com and request a password change in there then it will let you log in the tablet.
for me it wont let me update it saiys no updates for my tab … and samsung just told me to give it another day and yet nothing…
can anyone help my tab keeps telling me my pass is wrong when I try to log into my Samsung account to do the update
Nothing new and improved except samsung bloatware and touchwhiz that I can see. It runs just fine as is except the Samsung login force closes when I reboot the Tab. That alone tells me I don't want them screwing other crap up and I only reboot once in a blue moon so yeah, think I will keep what I have.
I swear I am going to start using this video as a drinking game. Take a shot everytime he says UM. People going to be WASTED by the time 6minutes is over hahaha. UMMM
I was actually about to go out and get a galaxy tab tomorrow but I saw the news online and came here to see what it was all about. Bad move Samsung, you took an amazing device and found a way for people to hate it. Worst idea they had was to tell people its "optional" but if you don't update you no longer get any android updates.

Samsung knows touchwiz sucks that's why the are forcing people to update to it. If we don't update you won't get any other Honeycomb updates. Such as 3.2 or Android Ice Cream Sandwich

Looks good, little weird on other touchwiz reviews today I notice extreme lag when flipping screens and bring up apps however yours looks pretty zippy!!
@MRXantrax It's optional to download Touchwiz. If you don't download it though, you'll be stuck on 3.1. You won't be able to upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich without Touchwiz….I know, I'm bummed too.
do those buttons dim when watching movies like the stock honeycomb?
