Hit the menu button in settings and change the damn layout if it bothers you that much just like how you do with the note 3 and s4
Hey everyone! Look at me! I'm Verizon and I have to change a bunch of little nonsense things to make my phone slightly different so you can't just use any of the cases available for the G2.

Also, as a side note on the G2, the phone's great but the back buttons are completely retarded. I guess phone manufacturers are running out of things to differentiate themselves.
verizon set the setting menu to list by default but u can change it to the tabs.

got this phone coming from a Note 2. It is fantastic, People complain about the buttons for the Verizon version but really with a case on the phone there is absolutely no problem finding the right button. The opening in the back of the case serves as your tactile guide. Anyway, flatter buttons in return for wireless charging is totally worth it. And the dev community for this phone is the best I've seen for any LG model to date.

@denman . don't waste ur money. The htc one is rated better on the phone dog experts chart.
it beats everything in the one.. only advantage the one has is the boomSound and the incredible build quality.. otherwise, performance, camera and software, LG beats it easily (not to mention 0.5" bigger screen)
I kinda like this phone. Its really fast and snappy. Since I will be having a protection plan on it I won't really need a case for it. Cause if it breaks I can just get a replacement.
I'm wanting this phone ,just wanna know if it's better then my HTC one ? Was holding out for the max however they changed the whole setup on that phone …

the only problem with verizon g2 is you don't have a wide selection of cases for this particular model due to the different back buttons

What a poor hands-on. The setting screen can be changed to look just like the AT&T version.
Not a manufacturing error, every phone has them just certain displays show them more. With the Nexus 4 IPS display you see the exact same thing.
Thanks for the info Peter. I picked it up on launch day. This thing is sweet! Only negative is the sound. Not loud enough for me. My droid maxx is louder lol!
I know Verizon doesn't have the white but what about the rest of the US carriers?

Phil I have confirmed two Verizon handsets in 2 states that have vertical blue dots on the display…..tons of them . Even the units in the stores have them. This must be a manufacturing error… Does yours have them under bright light???
To get the tabs in the settings just hit the menu button when in settings.
why the fuck would they not include the earphone. Ok, you can add that shitty looking logo and make the speaker less 'cool' but why the fk did you guys have to take away the earphones -_-

No lag in IOS , not a fanboy. I am a fan of what works, I don't care who makes it. I do know that after having flagship after flagship android phone and still always wanting something different after buying an iPhone realizing how he phone should work and I am in no rush to change it

When in settings select the menu button and their you can select the tab settings view instead of scrolling. Loving my g2 so far! Now if we can just get root and start theming this ui a little better it would be perfect.
