She will definitely NOT be able to "see everything from the air" like she says. You can't just fly at low altitude over major cities in a civilian plane, there are lots of laws for those things. I think most of her flight will be unremarkable, boring and relatively pointless. Good luck to her.

I don't get it. Aren't planes incredibly safe and fast now? If she did it in a Boeing she could turn on the auto-pilot and let that fly for her. I'm sure her parents can afford one.

How is this all getting funded?
I remember years ago where younger and younger kids kept trying to break a flying record and it ended up where this young girl got killed. The problem as I recall was that this girl and her parent were under some perceived pressure by to complete the flight when it would been better to wait. Good luck to this lady but I hope it doesn’t become a contest who can be the youngest to do this.
